Join me for a relaxed evening of creativity, connection, ceramic painting and Persian tea at Nowruz Lounge in Richmond Hill.
No painting or drawing experience is needed.
I’ll teach you a simple ceramic decorating technique designed to give beautiful results, even if you’ve never painted ceramics before.
Using silkscreens and raised slip, I’ll guide you step by step as you transform a ceramic serving tray into something you’ll be proud to use in your home.
Choose from a selection of flowers, bugs and decorative patterns, choose your colours and add your own creative touches.
You don’t need to know how to draw. You don’t need to consider yourself artistic. Just come ready to create.
This evening is about giving ourselves permission to slow down.
To put our phones aside for a little while.
To make something with our hands.
To have a conversation with someone new.
To enjoy the process instead of worrying about being perfect.
Come with a friend or come on your own. With only 12 people, it will be a small, welcoming evening where we can paint, chat, enjoy Persian tea and create together.
**The finished ceramic pieces shown in the photographs are examples from previous workshops and demonstrate the techniques you’ll learn. In this workshop, everyone will be decorating a rectangular ceramic serving tray with handles.
